The Steam Revolution Exhibition
Developed 1985-1988, open 1988-2009 and ongoing
The steam revolution explores the technological development of the stationary steam engine from the first experiments to today’s steam turbines. The unique feature of this exhibition is that many of the engines are museum collection objects powered by steam and demonstrated to visitors by an engine driver who staffs the display space. Jesse supervised the team developing this long-term exhibition during the project to build the Powerhouse Museum.
